Giacomo Puccini
This itinerary takes us through the very suggestive places where the famous composer Giacomo Puccini lived and which were a source of inspiration for the writing of some of his very famous works.
Meeting with guide and visit to:
-Lucca with the many landmarks so dear to the composer. His native home now a museum, Casa natale museo Puccini (admission fee), the historical Caffè Caselli, meeting place for musicians and scholars
-Torre del Lago with the villa in which Puccini composed his most famous works
-Viareggio, with the beautiful seafront boasts some of the most striking buildings in Art Nouveau, amongst the many is Caffé Margherita a favourite of Puccini’s
An alternative itinerary to Viareggio is a visit to the house- museum in Celle Puccini (admission fee) the native town of the Puccini family (it can only be reached by mini bus).
