Villa Medicea FerdinandaMeeting with the guide and visit to:
-Poggio a Caiano, particularly intresting is the Medicean Villa ” Ambra,” designed and built by Giuliano da Sangallo for Lorenzo il Magnifico begun in 1484. Inside is the splendid Sala LeoneX with frescoes by Pontormo, Franciabigio and Andrea del Sarto. Deserving of praise is the Theatre and Billiard room. In the garden there is a beautiful “Limonaia” in the neo-classical style (admission fee)
-Carmignano, of particular note is the church of San Michele which houses the famous “Visitazione”(visitation) by Pontorno

This itinerary can be changed or extended to include a visit to:
-Medicean villa Ferdinanda, commissioned by Ferdinando de Medici
Etruscan archaeological museum (admission fee)
-Artimino, with its characteristic Medieval villane. Of particular note is the Romanesque Pieve(church) of San Lorenzo.
