This tour is amazing!! A MUST See!!

If you are anywhere near this location and are a World War II history buff, had family in the war, or just enjoy a general history and knowledge this is a must-see for you! Anna, our tour guide, had wonderful stories as well as lots of knowledge, History, plus family personal experiences that made the tour extra special – a real eye-opener for anyone that has not lived through this difficult time. The best story is the town coming out to the Piazza waiting for the Americans to arrive… HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Thank-you so much for providing this service

Our family took the 2pm, 2 hour tour on Tuesday 9th May, 2017.
We just wanted to pass on our thanks to the tour guide, she was absolutely fantastic.
She passed on her clear love for the city, but also gave us a wonderful insight into many of the beautiful places that make up Lucca.

Thank-you so much for providing this service.

Best wishes

We learned so much about your lovely, historic city…

I would like to tell you that we very much enjoyed our tour today. We learned so much about your lovely, historic city. I apologize for whatever part we played in the mix up and appreciate your efforts to fix the situation. We will bring very nice memories back to California and will recommend your tour company to anyone traveling to this area of Italy.

Thank you very much,

Thank you!

Thanks to your email communication we arrived in Pisa this past Saturday to take the special tour. My husband and I are still talking about what an impressive tour and tour guide we had. He really made Pisa so interesting. On our own we would have seen only the Field of Miracles but instead we left the city with an insight to its contributions to the world as well as its beauty. Thank you!

An excellent experience…

Gabriele Calabrese is recommended as guide in the 2010 edition of “Florence & Tuscany”; our group of six booked a private tour with him in March, 2010 and had an excellent experience; he is a knowledgeable, passionate resident of Lucca, with a broad and deep grasp of its history and traditions; he took us to see places we would never have seen without him, e.g. tunnels underneath the amphitheatre, the wooden sculpture of the Annunciation in the Church of San Frediano. The tour was supposed to have lasted 2 hours, but Gabriele’s enthusiasm and our questions almost doubled its original length (at no increase in price).

We had follow-up questions for Gabriele which we sent by email and he was quick and gracious with his replies. We are very happy to support Rick’s recommendation of Gabriele as a terrific guide if you’re interested in learning more about Lucca.

Gabriele Calabrese, Fantastic guide!

The company I work with has been working with Turislucca and Gabriele for years. Our travelers constantly glow about his guiding skills, here is just some of the feedback we have received about him:

-Gabriel was excellent! He’s a master story teller who really wove a history of Lucca past and present, and I loved that he sang the opening bars of “O Mio Babbino Caro” at Puccini’s home. Great guy.

-Fantastic guide. Entertaining and engaging and obviously knew his village.

-Gabrielle was an incredible story teller and made the walking tour outstanding.

Thank you so much Gabriele, we look forward to another great year!

The hidden gems of Lucca

Did the tour with Roberta who presented the tour in Italian and English in a seamless manner. Her knowledge of Lucca is shared during the 2 plus hours and the hidden stories of the history are what makes this tour great. Both languages given good coverage and all questions answered.
